I live by hard work pays off even if you don't see it on a pay check.
I've been low on money for months now and the other day I needed to buy a new pair of pants. That can be justified to buy in a thrift store when times are bad. Although every time I go in a thrift store I look for vintage video ( formats no longer in use ). That time I saw a number of LaserDiscs for the first time in that store for years. Didn't buy them, knew better. Later that day some one had thrown essentially canvas at over 4x4 off a deck and into the yard as trash. It's fun being an artist and always having paint on hand & brushes to boot.
Today I woke up at 4:10am thanks to the heat and couldn't go back to sleep. It hit me I might as well after doing my normal morning business, I should get to work before the heat of the day sets in. Around 6am I saw a grill by the side of the road labeled "free". ..Over two hours later and feeling sick from the heat on my way back home, no one had taken the grill. I'm going to have some fun cooking outside later today 8) .
Interesting note, I'd been needing a new grill ever since my pet broke the last in Jan. '07. ( She hopped on to it making it crash and break. )< Don't worry it was electic and not plugged in. >
