Hi All, For non Aussies just wanted to post to say that today is a very special day here in Australia and in New Zealand. Anzac day which is the anniversary of the battle at Gallipolli were so many Australians and New Zealanders were killed in World War One. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. There are lots of memorial services and parades (and lets not forget sensational anzac biscuits, my daughter made me some at the scouts anzac day sleepover - yummo!!) Also, many people make the pilgrimage to Anzac Cove at Gallipolli for the Dawn Service there. Its the day we remember and show respect to those who gave their lives for our freedom, and for those who have fought and are involved in wars around the world. I love Anzac day, its one of the most special days of the year. LEST WE FORGET!
