Sam chose to right Al's wrong in the last episode by telling Beth he was still alive, instead of leaping home. So why couldn't Al and Beth's daughter be the leaper to help bring Sam back home, instead of Sammy Jo?
 
Because the project was designed around Sam and Al's brain waves. Sam's daughter would, in theory, would a similar brain wave pattern to Sam. Al's daughter could leap, but Sam or someone with similar brain waves would have to be the observer.
 
Well when Al and Sam switched places in Season 4 Al was the leaper and Sam was the observer so I don't see why one of Al's children couldn't start leaping around in time also.
