I was watching an episode of Diagnosis Murder today, which I taped off BBC 1 yesterday. It was an episode called Must Kill TV. Who should pop up in it, but Stephen J. Cannell. Creator of such shows as The A-Team, Renegade and The Greatest American Hero. He played a man called Jackson Burley, a creator of formly highly successful television series. Now though, he isn't as successful and trying to pitch any idea he can to a cable television channel called MBC(!)
Well Jackson was talking to Steve Sloan about all these great shows he created in the past. Steve said his favourite was Airwolf! A Donald P. Bellisario creation
Jackson just scoffed, as to say don't be so silly.
Made me giggle, as in the 80's, Stephen and Donald were the two bankables in America to come up with successful television programmes. :bow
