Can't upload!

I can't upload an avatar from my hard drive or from a website storing pictures for me

! I think the image I want to use is small enough. How on Earth can I get one loaded for the forum

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the problem is. Is there an error message coming up? I don't think it should matter if it's too small, it's if it's too big that there's a problem. Perhaps it is the wrong file type?
