In this episode it is clear that Sam has fathered a child with Abigail, Sammy Jo. She later goes on to work at Project Quantum Leap as Samantha. Sam refers to her as his daughter which biologically cannot be possible, correct? :eek

Also, in this episode near the end we see a flash of Leita Ader become Laura Fuller during the fire. IN the next episode The Last Door: Trilogy Part 3 we see a burned/disfigured Laura Fuller in the mental ward. How is this possible? Are we safe in our assumption that Laura was actually in the house? What do you think of this conundrum? :spidey
 
i think that sam saw prob the ghost of lauras mother in the house.well its a normal thing for sam as he once met the devil and in the last ep he saw god lol

It's not a ghost. The person he sees is Laura Fuller. When he later meets her in the sanitarium, she has the burn scars from being in the fire.

What's supposed to be inferred is that, because of her mental instabilities, Laura was kept in the attic of the house. After the fire, she ends up in the sanitarium.
 
I always assumed that she had been in the sanitarium all along, but because she was there voluntarily, not having been 'committed' that she could come and go as she pleased, and would sneak out to check up on Abigail from time to time.
