Dr. Grant's chief concern is to help those who have been corrected by Lothos. He is a very dangerous man to upset.
Dr. Grant is also a Master Persuasion Technician (MPT) and persuades temporary visitors (leapees) to divulge information. He uses anything that can cause pain of any sort to get the information. He also holds an additional title of Torture Master (*TM) - exactly what the title implies - and uses torture of all forms to correct and/or punish any and all inhabitants of Lothos' complex. He prefers sexual abuse and intimidation. He prefers to correct and/or punish females, but is equally adept in his methods with males.
Dr. Grant delivered only one of Zo? and Lothos' children. When the baby was in distress, he rushed her to the infirmary to take care of her and has kept his mouth closed for years with the information. He is another one of the few people in the complex that has something on Lothos, but fear also keeps him from saying anything.
Although he is one of the most hated in the entire complex, Edward does have a soft side that he rarely shows. He showed it once in the last 24 years, as he cradled a baby in his arms, telling that child that he would never abuse her, and that was Siren, one of Lothos' children.
