Edit: Moved to Smileys and Avatars

I think everyone is using Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, or another photo editing/conversion program.

Microsoft Word cannot save a GIF or JPG that I know of. Can you paste your image into Microsoft Paint (built into Windows -- look under Accessories) and then save as a JPG/JPEG?

My problem is everything I have tried contains too many pixels. Is there a way to "shrink" avatars to only be 80 X 80 pixels? Or where do I find graphics of this size?

You could try Irfanview. It's a free graphics program.
