     SYNOPSIS: Sam leaps repeatedly into the life of a young woman in
               hopes of changing her life and, ultimately, saving it.
        NOTES: The vast majority of the "characters" in this story
               are, in fact, real people (and, for the legal buffs,
               they've already given me their express permission).
               The story is an attempt by the author to deal with the
               death of Miriam Ferziger, and to help others who knew
               her do likewise.
