Oldies But Goodies

Listening to an oldies station the other day, I realized that maybe I was born in the wrong era. Some of the best songs with the best beat were written in the 50’s and 60’s. And some of those songs were in Quantum Leap! I think that some of them that could have been used were:

Oh, What A Night

Who Put The Bomp

Cathy’s Clown

Shake Rattle And Roll

Take Good Care Of My Baby

Stand By Me

Everyday

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

Unchained Melody

Under The Boardwalk

It’s In His Kiss

Venus

Personally, I loved the episodes that had singing in them. I love how both of the actors sang; rapped; acted – everything. It’s amazing how songs seem to pull the shows together – and impact them on our hearts even more!

A Quantum Leap Alliance

To those who have missed the stat sheets, Quantum Leap has led an enormous calling to the science fiction world. Between the VHS tapes, CD’s, books, comics, and many websites out there and not to mention the 98 episodes that have aired, you have to be out of your mind to not think that there is a calling out there for some kind of Alliance for the show! Hello! Wake up World… there is a calling and it’s going to come out in full force!

We, the Quantum Leapers of the world, will unite together when the movie comes out. (Notice, I said when… not IF!) We all joined together when the first episode came out (albeit that it was slow going at first) and we were most definitely glued to our seats – fear eating at us if we missed even a minute of the last episode "Mirror Image". You can bet your last dollar that we all sat stunned when we read those final words across the screen: "Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home."

We will join together again and in the same fashion will continue to discuss our differences rationally, sanely and with the same passion for Quantum Leap as we always have.

Debate and What If

This new Quantum Leap saga will be different. We have to be ready for that. We know or have some idea that it will be a woman leaping in Time putting things right that once went wrong. Interesting to see how they are going to portray this, but keeping that in mind, I can already see off in the horizon the people catching things that they did in the original series. Little things that can’t be changed – Al’s shadow in the Imaging Chamber and the like – people barking when they see the change and don’t like it. I can almost hear, "Well… what if…"

No! No! No! We can’t do this Quantum Leap fans. We can’t play the "What If Game." For five years, we relied on the writers and Donald P. Bellasario as they wrote and produced the show that we have all come to know and love so dearly. Soooo… if we trusted him to bring us such a wonderful show, why shouldn’t we trust him now? Let him do his thing. Let him finish. Let’s see the final result then give our unique opinions on this topic in the same manner as always. Until then… have faith. I’m sure that Don won’t let us down!

Combining Powers

"Wonder Twin Powers Activate!" I’m sure at one point in our lives we have all heard that quote through the wonderful place called the Justice League.

Well folks – Al’s Place and The Virtual Seasons have combined forces yet again! We have combined all of the Quantum Leap Episodes as well as The Virtual Seasons Episodes into one message board where they are eagerly awaiting to be rated and commented on. So, please check it out and let us know what you think of it? If you’d like to check it out, please go here: http://pub39.ezboard.com/bthevirtualseasons

Every Day

Every day that passes is better than the one before. It’s full of things that we never think will happen and it keeps us on the ball. With every day there’s a steadfast hope that everything will continue on as before. With every passing day, we get a little stronger and a little wiser and I for one am hopeful that with every passing day gets us closer to a new beginning… a new Quantum Leap.

Hmmm… A new Quantum Leap. I can’t wait!

Reaching for that unreachable star,

MJ
