This has to be one of my Top Ten episodes. The fact that the real reason for the leap wasn't made clear until practically the last moment was priceless! Soo-e!! ;)
A very entertaining episode. The fact that Peter Noone had a starring role was pretty cool for us oldies who remembered him from his Herman's Hermits days. Now the part that somehow there was a duck in his lineage... :giggle:
The battleship USS Montana was to be BB-67 but was never built. Authorized in 1940 the project of five ships of the class was cancelled in 1942 in favor of more aircraft carriers.
All I really remember about "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" was Richard Dreyfuss playing with mud and a bunch of missing Naval Aviators getting off the alien ship!
A difficult episode. Much like the two part JFK assassination shows since you know what is going to happen the writers have to be particularly creative. I believe they were in this case because this "story" occurred BEFORE the actual end date for Marilyn.
Is it me or does anyone else have difficulty remembering the revival series shows as well as the classic series? Perhaps the fact that I have seen the original series episodes more than a couple times accounts for the difference. I guess when I finally get the season two DVD I will have to do a...
An excellent episode. Made the point about how Native Americans/American Indians are and have been mistreated over the years without being shrill. This episode may have encouraged more reflection on this matter than a lot of other more "in your face" programs on the subject. Well written!
I already own season one on DVD. I can't believe how costly season two is! I can buy the entire series for less. Since I'm not in a hurry I guess I'll give it a few months and pick it up on eBay for half of the current price. :rolleyes:
