I know this has probably been mentioned like a million times but does it not bother everyone that the boxes of the Seasons 1 and 2/3 are switched around? the opening on the side of each box is different on each one and the cover is on the oppisite side! Even the format on the season 3 onwards boxes is switched from digipack to tiny little cases. Why couldn't universal be bothered to keep everything in order and the same?:banghead

I don't think Universal conceived the idea of the slim-pack cases until later on. Given the fact that they insist on using those cheap double-sided discs, this also allows them to avoid finiding more cast photos and artwork that would be needed for the foldout sets. They obviously didn't look very hard for photographs of Dean either, given the facts that the one on Season 3 is Photoshopped, he doesn't appear on Season 4, and Season 5's has the same picture. And then of course the same picture of Scott will be on Season 5 as well. I mean, are we at the point where it's too much effort to even find different photographs of Scott and Dean?
 
What annoys me is that when I got S3 R2 one of the slimline cases was broken on the inside (the little plastic tab bits has broken off) and the disc that goes there rattles about inside the box.

I know what you mean, haven't had it with my QL DVD's but I have with certain others. It's a p****r.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets irritated when things don't quite match... I thought I was just crazy.
 
I can't get why they don't match up either. I have seasons 2-4 UK release, and I was sort of annoyed that things didn't match up either. Initially, I had the North American release of season 2 and the '3D like swirls on the UK version and the US version tilted in two different directions, so when I got my season 2 UK version, the swirls at least went the same direction as with seasons 3 and 4. How's that for being picky? ;)

BTW. my next move will be to get a UK released season 1 because the German title is too long. :D

Star Trek Voyager. For as much as you have to pay for the Trek DVDs, you'd think they could have packaged them so the the tabs don't break everytime you pop a DVD out.
 
Wanna know something funny Universal did with the flipped box insert thing?

One season of MONK is packaged backwards from the others!

It bugs me...imagine what it would do to Monk!
