Hi,I watched this series when it was brand new and for years after when it ran in syndication on the 1990's. I have them on VHS tape that I recorded when the show was new. I bought the bluray set and was shocked to find the opening narration to each episode is different now. Why is this? For instance in "The Color of Truth" Scott Bakula narrates the opening and it's completely different than what was originally there. I was hoping this set would present the show exactly as it was when it first aired. To me that's important to preserve the originality. I'm glad the music rights were secured, and the picture quality is fantastic but I miss seeing it as it was.

For your VHS recordings, were they from the syndicated broadcasts or the original NBC broadcasts? If they were from the syndicated ones, the intros were all the same pretty much. If it's from the NBC recordings, Scott back to the did indeed narrate from the beginning up until All-Americans I believe. I have all of the saga sell openers in the video library if you'd like to take a look.
