Hey i wasnt sure if this was brought up already or maybe somehow i missed it but why are two episodes missing, the one where hes the teenager driver and hes a black man in the south (driving miss daisy type episode). You see him leap into them and then the episodes arnt there. Especially the Kamakazi kid (i think its called) u see him leap in the kid and then the next episode it does a recap of that episode and he leaps into someone else but that kid episode isnt there. :help

Both of those episodes are from Season 1. Universal, in all the care they took with the seson 2 sets, didn't bother to get the leap in's in chronicological order. It is just one of the many problems with the Season 2 set

omg u right lol i thought i maybe just saw those episodes on tv and didnt bother looking at my season one set. U would think they could put some energy into putting them in order and making corrections if they know a public is gonna buy them and they will get their money..man

Have you noticed the musice replacements and the lack of any of the advertised special features

By the way, welcome to the board. It is always good to meet a new leaper:cheers

Thanks, i just found this site and was totally amazed :) :hurray

this has been brought up before. this is due to something having to do with how the series was orgionally aired. before they finished filming new episode, they had to rerun first, so they wanted to make sure the leap patterns matched this. or at least this is what i have heard.

another thing i saw

Something else thats funny is that twice in season 2 dvd set, they show him leaping into the black man in the south in the diner episode and its not even in the season 2 set lol :wacko

re:another thing

Another thing i realized is that theres a pic of the episode where al and sam exchange places but its not in season 2 set. Theres some pics on the box of that epiosode...odd huh

Yeah, well, we all did realize it already, vsnryguy. It's not the first time it's been discussed, I mean, season 1 was too short for being not remembering a single episode of it. The fact that those episodes are at the season 2 set, it's because they were originally aired in that way, but it's not a mistake, and there's nothing crazy about that. And nothing to be impressed of, either... Are you the one who post at Amazon.com that season two and three had 2 missing episodes? Well, here, at Al's Place, there's a complete episode guide. I guess you're a new fan... Hope, for God's sake, you're a new one.

Welcome to the board.

I knew you were going to point it out, Cydney, that's why I, certainly, wanted to post the same thing, hehe...:D

Hi

This is my first post here.

Having read through recent posts over the last couple of days I thought it might be easiest to watch season 2 following the leaps through. So for example if the first episode ends with the leap to episode 4 which then leaps to episode 2 I would watch in that order 1 - 4 - 2 (hope that makes sense!). Is there a list somewhere of the correct sequence - I've checked the episode guide but it matches the order on the DVD set.

If you're looking for the sequence in which the episodes were orginally aired on NBC, then that's the order that they are on the DVD's. In Season 2 (as well as in Season 3) when there's a leap out that doesn't match the next episode on the DVD that's because NBC was airing a repeated episode at that point - and the leapout matched what the repeated episode would be. I doubt you're going to find an episode guide anywhere that's going to list the episodes in order including the repeated episodes since that would be redundant.

I would like to say all of season 2 episodes are there. I would also like to say that there is one episode missing from season 1. The episode is titled: "A Leap on a Doggy Side" and yes it is also a book. But I know that the episode does exist as I and my late mother have seen that episode when season 1 came on our TV here in New Zealand. Episode: (At the beginning Sam Beckett leapt into a dog, he stood up from the floor as Al arrived, Sam said: "Al, I am naked!", Al said: "You shouldn't be standing up Sam", and then proceeds to tell him he is a dog). it is currently said that there is a total of 97 episodes in the series, but that is a lie! there is in fact 98 episodes. I remember when we still had Teletext on TV, I read that there was 98 episodes. So I now ask; "where is the missing episode?" Can anybody find the episode?

The sad thing is if the show had continued they probably would have pulled a stunt like this. I mean in Season 4 they had him leap into a chimp. 🤣
