Round Robin: Rhyme With the Line Above

[Sam's Crow]

Sort of like a poetry game that I came across on another forum. Except this one is Quantum Leap based. I person has to post at least two lines a go, and the next person has to make their first line ryhme with the last line of the previous person.

I'm terrible at starting so anyone, feel free.

 

[ohboy]

Sam leapt into a very large room,
he was an old man with a large beard.

Yeah, it's not great, but I've never been good at poetry.

 

[Sam's Crow]

Standing infront of a mirror he heard,
The sound of laughter coming from an infant.
The atmosphere was hardly one of sadness and sorrow,

 

[ohboy]

Sam looked out the window, it was almost tomorrow,
Sam looked at the clock it was 11:43

 

[Sam's Crow]

So far it looks like another RR that is going to be owned by you and I, ohboy. Unless other people join in of course.

By the way, what the hell rhymes with 11:43?!

I think that with time, you only have to rhyme with the last number. So I think you would only have to rhyme with "3". If you want me to change that last verse, though, I will.

 

[Deelicious]

He reached down a hand to scratch his knee
Instead of flesh, there was only air

 

[MO]

He looked at his leg and there was nothing there.
He remembered reading about "phantom nerves."

 

[ohboy]

"Oh no," said Sam. "This is not what I deserve!"
"Al!" Sam cried. "Where are you?"

 

[Jaycol]

"Right here Sam" said Al "I wonder that too"
"Let me check with Ziggy, be back in a flash."

 

[Sam's Crow]

As Sam stood and waited, he heard a crash.
He looked to see what it was and got a shock,
There was a young bloodied woman at the bottom of the stairs.

 

[Jaycol]

"My god it looks like she's been mauled by bears
What can I do to get down to there.
When my legs are nothing but air."

O.K. One to many rhymes but that is what I came up with.

No, it sounded fun Jaycol. Like a violent Dr. Suess story.

"Ohboy, that gave me quite a scare
After what I saw down there."
As Sam finished he could hear the baby laugh,
Laugh like nothing in the world could go wrong.

Can I join in? I've never tried a round robin like this before and am eager to try it out. My appologies if I mess anything up.

It was as if the baby's heart was one big song.
"How do I get down there?" Sam asked, "I need some luck."

I'm not the creator of this thread, but I don't think that you messed up. By the way, you are always welcome to post on "Round Robin A" as well, in case you feel like it. :roflmao:Sorry for the cheap use of advertising on your thread, Crow... :eek
