October 31, 1990 Death Valley, California Sam leaps into a 19 year old college student named Freddie Lyman and finds himself in the middle of Death Valley at 11:50 PM October 30, 1990 a full 24 hour walk to the nearest road. According to Al, Freddie was found by his friends wandering the highway and mumbling incoherently and out of touch with reality and talking about some monster taking his sanity.
