I have a question. I've noticed on the threads, the older posts are at the bottom of the page and then the newer ones work their way up. Why is this?

It's just so you see the newer posts first. Most boards I visit are set up this way. Glad to have you here!

I'm not sure exactly which setting you're referring to, but it sounds like you mean individual posts within topics. That order can be changed. Click the link to "My Settings" near the top of a page, then in the left-hand navigation pane entitled "Your Control Panel", scroll down to the "Settings & Options" section and click on "Edit Options". On the new page, scroll down to the section entitled "Thread Display Options" and select either "Linear - Oldest First" or "Linear - Newest First".
