Favorite Holiday Movie

My all time favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas-followed by Holiday Inn. I could listen to Bing Crosby sing all night long!

I voted for Miracle on 34th Street, which I have to say is a beautiful movie, but I have to say, my all-time favourite (because it is SO hilarious) is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, with Chevy Chase in it. When something goes wrong in this movie, everything goes WRONG... I also kinda like the Grinch with Jim Carey, and The Santa Clause with Tim Allen. also, I liked both of the first Home Alones with Macaulay Culkin.

I have to admit, though, that I don't know that many Christmas movies... A lot of what I used to watch when I was younger had little to do with traditionnal Christmas movies... And the other thing is I probably saw more than a few in french, and thus wouldn't recognise the titles in english.

Have a nice day!!!

"You'll shoot your eye out!"

Favorite Shows

I love the Christmas season in general. BTW...Papa's Angels should be one of the choices. That was the Christmas show that Bakula did a few years ago. It is a really nice story and has become one of my favorites (I tracked it down on EBay).

I also have a copy of "It's a Wonderful Life" so we can watch it anytime. I love this classic. It's funny that when it came out, it was considered very controversial because the show had the banker as the bad guy. Some people felt this was political and was an attempt at being adversarial to capitalism and that the show had a socialist message. It's amazing what people will read into a story. Thank GFTW it wasn't relegated to "lost movies" world. I don't think Christmas would be quite the same without it.

I also have the Rudolph soundtrack. One side is the songs and the other instrumental. Always fun to listen to.

I LOVE Christmas! Movies, music, decorations, etc. So this was really hard to choose from. But, after much waffling, I selected A Christmas Story.....a true love it or hate it film---there IS no middle ground.

I don't know about that. I used to love A Christmas Story, and I do like the movie, but I haven't seen it in years. For me, it was played out. I mean there is one station that plays it for 24 hours straight.

I'm actually on the "hate it" side...but I'm going to try it again this year, so we'll see. Tom, TNT does the 24 hours of "A Christmas Story"

My favorite holiday movie to watch this time of year is the original 1938 black and white movie A Christmas Carol. For me, Christmas isn't complete without it.
