My parents and I went to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival last Saturday. We finally got the pics of us developed. This is me in a dress that I designed. My friend Olivia made the initial basic dress. My Aunt Veronica altered the sleeves to make them larger (they were too small on my arms originally) and give them cuffs, and she also added on the rope accents that I wanted on there.

I've got a "celtic lass" costume (simplicity pattern---you can see it if you look at any Simplicity pattern catalog and look for Bonnie Lasses) that I've used twice--once as "Briar Rose" when we all dressed as Disney princesses at work, and once as a hobbit (pinned the skirt up higher and put doll hair on my feet). I would love to be able to wear to a real RenFest!

If there's one thing I miss the most about being away from the Midwest, and Georgia, it's the Reinessance Festival!
