Hi all,

I registered to ask this question (+ I love the show). Does anyone know the song from an old (2004) QL tribute video made by Sue Johnson? It's link is dead unfortunately so I cannot download again. Song title? New link to the video? Thanks.

I can't remember offhand what the song was, but I'm sad to say there is unlikely to be a new link. Sue has been unable to access t'internet for nearly 3 years now and all her wonderful sites have unfortunately been closed down.

If you can recall any of the lyrics, I may be able to root around in my Swiss cheesed brain and get a title for you.

I think the chorus went something like "cause you're not there". That probably doesn't help and all the searches I've done with those lyrics have turned up nothing. If anyone still has the video could you upload it? Or at least listen for more lyrics. Thanks it would be a big help.

I'm pretty sure that it was "Forever Autumn" from "The War of the Worlds"
by Justin Hayward...

The summer sun is fading as the year grows old,
and darker days are drawing near,
the winter winds will be much colder,
now you're not here.
I watch the birds fly south across the autumn sky
and one by one they disappear
I wish that I was flying with them,
now you're not here

like the sun through the trees you came to love me
like a leaf on a breeze you blew away

through autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way
you always loved this time of year
loose fallen leaves lie undisturbed now
cos you're not here x 3

like the sun through the trees you came to love me
like a leaf on a breeze you blew away

a gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes
as if to hide a lonely tear
my life will be forever autumn
cos you're not here x 6

Sound familiar?

I really love this song. I'm sure I recall now that Sue loved it too.
